I've just come back from a Dall's Sheep hunt in the NWTs. I'm curious whether Bighorn hunting is very similar to hunting for Dall's. Similar terrain and hunting strategy? I have in my mind that bighorn might be at lower elevations with shots at closer range.

Dall sheep are very easy to hunt compared to Rocky mountain bighorn. I lived in the Yukon for 6 years and found they were pretty simple to hunt. I'm now in Alberta and its not so easy to get a bighorn.

Dall - very easy to see from the valley where they are on the mountain.
Dall - terrain was 4,000 - 6,000 feet elevation

Bighorn - hard to spot
Bighorn - elevations of 5,000+ feet
