Well, here's another from Sunday Morning. Wasn't able to get my son on this one. I killed this one for a friend who wanted the meat so I needed to make sure we got him. My son will get the next one. It took two shots from the 243 to bring this one down, both shots were 2" apart from each other, right in the boiler room and he still was running, he finally fell over dead. He's kind of a cool looking pig, for a pig.

Way to go, Mel.

He is kinda cool looking. I'm happy with any pig I get, but I keep hoping for a "fancy" boar. That white blaze certainly would qualify!

Yeah, it was a fun quick trip. I passed up 4 hogs before I shot this one, the others were about 75# to 100#. I'm not sure when we are going again, but the next time will be all for my son Justin to get his hog. This property is a friend of a friends, but I think the more I go I can probably just start going directly through the owner. The hoist I made several years ago when I was going to wyoming for Antelope. I was very easy to make, It's just 2" square tubing cut to size and welded and reinforced in some areas. It comes out from the receiver 2' an then up 6.6 and then outward 2.5' with a hook at the bottom for the gambel. Where it's welded together we had to put a cross bar in for support. I'm going to put a small boat hand crank on it with some pulleys to winch the game up so I don't have to lift it. It works great when there's no trees around.
