You know, that is one animal we did not get to try eating. I have heard it is very good, though. We were the first group hunting this year, and we kind of held off on the wart hogs until later in the hunt. I guess we were all focused on the antelope. Once we started on the hogs, though, most guys shot at least a couple! I am pretty sure mine was the biggest.
We hunted Jim Hackiewicz, who posts here as JJ hack. Jim is also a devoted hog hunter and says that wart hogs are his favorite African game animal. They are funny toi watch - they run with their tails straight up in the air like antennaes! I saw one even headbutt a cape buffale over some food.
Most of the animals shared the waterholes fine, until the buffalo or rhino showed up.
