Hillary Clinton Won't Crack Down on Sanctuary Cities
By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - Many conservatives disagree with Sen. Hillary Clinton's liberal policies and positions, but the New York Democrat was far from disagreeable in her two-part interview with Fox News's Bill O'Reilly.

Clinton seemed comfortable and relaxed -- not shrill or stilted, as she's been described at times on the campaign trail. She gave ready answers to blunt questions as she and O'Reilly engaged in what amounted to a battle of wits.

IMHO, the interview was scripted... The "tough" questions always had pat answers and she used the opportunity to her advantage.

It isn't GWB that has the responsibilty of enforcing our laws.
What exactly have the dem led legislature done about anything since taking control? Name one thing besides changing the congressional dining hall menu?

Actually the Executive Branch is responsible for enforcing the law the legislature is responsible for enacting laws and funding law enforcement and agencies and the prosecutors office. The Dems didn't quite get in enough legislators in the house or senate to make a fundamental change in our nations policies. That may very well change this November.

lefty, you mean like this?

"Democrats to Challenge Plans to Finish Border Fence"
"Fourteen House Democrats, including eight committee chairmen, said yesterday that they will file a brief supporting a legal challenge to the Bush administration's plans to finish building 470 miles of fencing and other barriers on the U.S.-Mexico border by the end of the year. "

"Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.) led the group, which includes the heads of the energy and commerce, transportation, intelligence, education, rules, and veteran affairs panels. "

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...8040702361.html

And it is the job of ICE, INS and the attorney generals office to enforce federal immigration laws, not the exucutive branch... The dems just can't seem to get anything done. Again I ask for one concrete bit of work since the taking of control of the house...

Hi Easy,
I did some brief research and the Dem Congress has passed legislation to put more cops on the beat 50k more and despite Bush's opposition increased pay for servicepersons and increased spending for Veteran medical benefits and to fix Walter Reed Hospital and they increased the minimum wage but only by 75 cents. There is a lot more to be done and with a democratic president and more democratic senators and congresmen more can be accomplished. The objections to the border fence are based on enviormental concerns. Its not like GWB was the one to push for cracking down on illegals in the first place. Bush called the Miniutemen Vigalante's when they first started to monitor the border even though the Miniutemen did not enforce the law they just observed and reported. No the Dems didn't get us out of Iraq but hopefully soon we will be .

GWB has spent more on our veterans than any other president in our history. During the last Administration, Clinton eliminated more of our military than anyone in history. I did some research too. Since 2006, higher taxes, higher fuel costs, higher unemployment, and on and on. If the libs get in the White House we can expect more of the same.

In just one year . Remember the election in 2006?
Thought you might like to read the following:
A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratically controlled Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

voted for "change" in 2006, and we got it!

Remember it's Congress that makes the law, not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.

Homerun dingo and this line is particularly important for libs to read over and over again...
"Remember it's Congress that makes the law, not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him. "
And shreeker pelosi has had two years to get off of her fat lazy butt and do something, anything... Her big contribution would be the change in the congressional cafeteria menu and that is a sad fact!

And lefty the topic is "ILLEGAL aliens sanctuary cities and mrs klinton", not vets or walter reed hospital. Those are also good topics which have a long history of neglect by our legislature and federal government. And the shameful ignorance of our vets is one that has needed to be changed since the 1970s.
