I got back out to my spot last Wednesday for another chance for a hog and it paid off, hung around a hot spot where they wallow and about 8pm they came down to play got this nice sow at 25 yards, a clean pass threw it ran up to the brush and then back to the herd and fell dead in the road, the other hogs check him out to see what was up with their bud then figured it out and ran like mad pigs right past me back to the brush .
this is the best tasting hog so fair I had, it was about 100 something pounds cleaned. I tried that but out tool and ???? it was junk, and it did not feel right sticking something up the hind end of something, I'm sticking to my knife.
any way yea!!! hog down:hog chewing::archer green:

Nice hog. And thanks for the heads up on the butt tool. Saw it at Walmart and wondered how well it worked.

Good job on the pig! I've been trying with the bow all winter and spring long with out much luck. I've sat on wallows, well used trails, but had the best luck trying to spot and stalk. Now that its warming up I might try the wallows again or some other water.

Thanks for the report and pics! For the time being I have no where to hunt, so I have to do it through these reports.
I'm an archer too.

Well done! I've used the butt out tool on deer. Works great and is fast, but takes a couple of attempts to figure it out.

I've used the butt out on deer and also found it works great once you get over the fact of where you're sticking it. I've found it's as easy as the directions say - push in, twist, then pull out firmly and steadily. Tie off and you're done.
