Hi All,

It's been a couple years since I've posted and first I'd like to say hello to everyone. A new baby, higher education, house fire, new job, new house, etc. has kept me pretty busy and away from hog hunting. But alas! I'm back in action and will be going to the Tejon this weekend to work on getting my boar mojo back....:pig-laughing:

Now that I've moved, my butcher is too far away and I was wondering if anyone in So Cal knows of a good butcher in the Monrovia/Pasadena/210 area? Trying to get my ducks in a row in case God smiles on me this weekend and I'm able to put a boar down.

If this should be posted elsewhere, I apologize.

Thank you all and I hope everyone is well.

Scott

Scott,

Its a little out of the way in Santa Paula, but they are a Game processor. Prices start at $1 per pound for the breakfast links and then go up to $2 per pound for the Jalapeño Cheddar Pinnapple or smoked links. They skin, cape and can even mount you kill. One stop shop. Just my 2 cents worth.

Scott,

Old Fashion Country Butcher is the bomb. I'm sold for life, the different type of sausages are something else. I have taken stinky old boars from Tejon and sausaged them out and the you can't tell it was a nasty old boar. My favorite is the garlic with cheddar. Kent the owner is also a great guy. The drive might be a little longer than you planned (35-40 minutes each way from the 5 Fwy), but for the time and money already put in the hunt you want to be happy with the meat.

Thank you all for the replies! I'll look into each one and figure out the best option.
