Hog Calls

Hello JHO Brothers,

Hope everyone is having a winderful summer and looking forward to the fall hunting season.

Has anyone used Hog Calls, and Hog Scents ?

What are your thoughts on both.

As for calls, I do own a couple hog calls. I own a Hog Grunt/Feeding call and a Squeal Call. Just like any call for any game species, sometimes they work, and sometimes they do not. Although to answer your question, yes they do work, just depends on if the pigs are curious enough at the time to react to the call. I have called in 2 groups of pigs with a grunt call. Although I have also watched pigs about 85 yards out hear my call and just keep walking off. But, its never a bad idea to have in your pack incase you run into that one boar looking for a good time!

I have a buck grunt call that i used 2 days ago on a lone feeding boar and i got its attention but it went back to feeding. I seen a video about Team Fitzgerald they used it and called in hogs but Like nikolaKangrga said sometimes they do and some times they dont work it to me is worth a try.
