Hog down again

Hunted during the down pour on Friday with no luck except soaked to the bone and 8 miles of hiking with my gun.... Decided to stay for Saturday because I knew the pigs would be out.... Saturday came and spotted this pig at half a mile away... Story short, Ran to within 80 yards and squeezed the trigger and Hog down again... Thank u for reading my post View attachment 87645

Hi Wolf, congrats man! Looks nice and plump too! Um... is a "throatshot" something you were trying to do here? Or is that just the exit side and the entry side was a brainshot that entered in at an angle from above the animal, like shooting downhill? What is the dealio with doing a throatshot on a pig? From the looks of the pic (lotsa blood in this one spot) he dropped on the spot, right? Do throatshots transmit a lot of hydrostatic shock to their spinal chord, is that the deal? -G
