Well, one week left and I will be experiencing my first ever trip to Choppers.:smiley-mouse: Bow is shooting good, will pack everything this weekend, take care of the food and BEER. Picked up some new Muzzy 100's not sure if I will use my grim reapers or not, both are shooting the same.
Heading over to Bass Pro shops to pick up some rain gear, looks like things may get a little wet.
I will have a full report when I get back. And yeah, it may be in one post.......it may not :lol bashing sign:
Mel, i just purchased the bass pro's Storm-Tex rain suit and it was awesome for the price for sure, wore it at my Choppers weekend hunt when it rained that friday, had it on for almost 6 hrs! it held up great, i just wore my base layering under it. i only got cold the last hr threw the suit just from standing still for a while with only the base layering under it but other than that when i got back to the lodge i was not wet at all and it dried real easy that same night by the fireplace fairly fast, very impressed with it for the price for sure...............tra
yeh, the storm -tex is well worth the money for sure, they have the Squail-Tex too which is nice but that seemed a little bulkier and heavier to climb around the hills with all day, its more for hard core cold rain like in alaska. but remember one thing to make sure those littlle bungie cords on the side of the rain jacket hood is tied out of the way so you dont have a string mishap on the shot like i did at chopper's 2 weeks ago, that cost me a trophy hog for that mistake!............tra
well when i left there was a 260lb hanging in the cooler and a dozen or more were seen and boys were still hunting so i will let them tell there storys
