Has anyone ever hunted on the easterbrook ranch in California? It looks like an interesting place, but I don't know much about it.

Susp45,

Sorry... no info on Easterbrook, but I do want to welcome you to JHO!

Might check the guide and outfitter reviews to see if anyone has written them up yet.

susp45,
Welcome to JHO, probably the best hog hunting website now.
I do not know anything about the ranch you mentioned. However, with a guided hunt locked into only a single ranch availability for the guided hunt, there are hog hunting stories posted here that the hunter was not able to harvest a hog simply because they did not see a hog when hunting at the ranch. It is iffy when you are hunting only on one ranch. Back in 1999 when we did a hog guided hunt with Frank Morasci, an excellent guide from the King City area, Frank mentioned that he had at that time seven??? hunting ranches availablel for hog guided hunts. Meaning if one ranch failed to produce then we could go to another ranch. We would have seven???? ranches that we could depend on to hunt hogs, going from one ranch to another if necessary. Tom Willoughby also has access to several ranches. Personally, I would not go on a guided hog hunt where the guide or ranch owner has access to ONLY ONE ranch. I would choose a guide that has access to several ranches. God Bless. 'Nuff said.

Welcome aboard.......I don't know what Larry is talking about, a single ranch with pigs is all you need. Most guides will put you where the pigs have been seen, they don't want to waste your time looking for areas that will hold pigs. My 2 times with a guide the hunt is over in less that an hour, I perfer unguided hunts little more time in the woods.

Let us know how the ranch turned out, and stick a big one for us all to see.
