Hey guys, i'm pretty new to the sight, but i've been on here before a couple months ago about my wild hog situation. These are 400lb plus hogs. My brother shot one awhile back with a muzzle loader and didn't recover it.

Well we've got them baited back up again and we're going to build a trap. The problem is that we don't know what to make to hold hogs this big. The door on this thing has got to be big. These hogs are huge. I've never done any hog trapping nor have I really hunted them. We're trying to make something quick before they start traveling again to other properties. Their eating a hundred pounds of corn every 2 days. Any suggestions.

Thanks, Duc

Duc.. We made all of ours out of angle iron, square tubing and hog panels.. Unfortunately I do not have any plans for them..

Here is a couple of links for you to look at:

Hog Trap... This is sort of like the ones we made

Another Hog Trap

Hog Trap Design

This will give you some good info. to get started. I would also do a google search and you should come up with a lot of information...

I'm thinking i might need to make me a clear route to check it, because if 1 of these biggins gets in there their going to try and tear loose. My dad is checking into the material for the cattle fence. I think he's going to use 4x4 posts. I hope we start building it by the weekend. I appreciate all the responses.
