Hogs around Deep Creek

I was wondering how damaged the deep Creek area below Arrowhead is due to the fires? Does anybody know the status? Also I heard rumor of some hogs up there, any info or stories would be appreciated.

My buddy lives in Arrowhead...............I think it is a rumor or he'd give it a try. I've never seen any other reports about hogs up there...............don't forget it is above the snow line in the winter. That is not normal hog habitat.

Rumor ..there are no pigs near Deep Creek

There was a report in one of the California Hog Hunter quarterly issues back in 2002 if not earlier that said a guy had killed either two or four hogs up by Silverwood lake. After reading the article I called the ranger office for that area and they said the hogs were taken on the north facing slope just south of the lake.

I haven't heard of any other hogs being taken in that area since then.

Thanks guys! I think that I will persue the porkmobiles in another area. The more research I do the more I come back to the Tejon ranch and a little $ out of pocket. Thanks again.
