Bet that title got your attention. So this email is a question not a statement.
Background first. I just got here two weeks ago so start work. I will be here approximately 4 months working. So this is my question. Are there any hogs here in Maryland? I have been searching the internet for too long trying to answer this question. I found an article by state management that quarantined some feral hogs in the town of New Windsor back in 2006, but that is all.
I do think this will be a long shot, but there has got to be some somewhere the way they have been spreading across the country. If so, I am not asking for anyone honey hole or a pin on a map, just a yes or no and general area, thats all. If anyone out there can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Do some searches in google... there are supposedly some escapees in some parts of MD, but not much of a population. I don't remember which counties, though.

:smiley_yahoo:After doing a bit of research and trying to talk to a lot of locals, The word is probably, but so few I probably won't find any anytime soon. But, the good news is that just north of here in some south-western Pennsylvania there are. The state even has them listed on their website and in which counties that they are of sustainable populations. It's a start. Time to get on the ground and start talking to the locals. Will update soon. Thanks for any and all help guys!!!!:JHO rocks:

If you need a hunting partner to scout and hunt some land let me know. I am in the Boston area now and have been searching high and low since I got here last august for some place within a decent drive to hunt hogs that isn't a high fenced ranch for $500+ a pop. I would happily drive to Pennsylvania for a chance at public hogs!

No problem BDB, I'll keep you up to date. Still have not gotten my boots dirty scouting yet due to the weather, but hope to next weekend. Will PM you to let you know. Thanks.
