They should have never started the website and their own horn tooting, but who really gives a damn? Everyone knows the only place hogs grow that big is Georgia, damn posers.

Ya'll Kalistan folks are just mad these little mountain pigs are so small, it's ok, the pigs on the west coast aren't the only things that are naturally smaller than that of their Eastern cousins.

enjoy.

I've tried but I can't find any redeeming value in that tale. The fathers excuses are weak at the very least and the 11 yr old had no business with a .500 under any circumstances. Put yourself in the pigs place, been handfed for who knows how many years and this time when you hear the animals that have been feeding you arrive you head for the chow ! instead of food you hear a loud noise "hmmm... must be thunder " then a sharp pain ouch but you still probably don't associate it with the people who usually feed you, Boom another noise and more pain, something ain't right guess I'll get out of here Hmmm... no where to go , this is very confusing ?? more noise and shouting , more pain " get the picture What the hell did I do to deserve this "? I have trouble with canned hunt's much less executing somebodys family pet . I have trouble understanding posters who think we're being to hard on these guys, whatever happened to humane killing ,hunter ethic's and honesty, good lord these aren't targets they're living breathing mammals that feel pain the same way we do, I'd equate it to someone chasing you around your living room shooting you with a .177 cal pellet gun for a couple of hours until you expired !

The worst thing about this is the damage it does to the image of hunters. When Joe Public thinks about hunters and hunting you can be damn sure they'll remember the fat rednecks that shotup the barnyard piggie. It makes both hunting and firearms a tough sell when goons like this are on CNN.

It's too bad the kid has be in the middle of it all. He obviously couldn't handle the gun. I was happily shooting my father's .44 mag at 8 years old, so I'm guessing the old man didn't bother to spend the range time with his son. Also, If the father didn't suspect that pig was domestic, he's either stupid or lying.

I just bought a Tule Elk calf. I’m raising it now in my backyard. His name is Billy and when he gets over 350 I’m going to release him in the neighborhood park and take him out. Do you still need to apply for a tag? And if the park has no fences is it still considered “fare chase”? I want to make the books so I need to do it right. It’s too hard to do it any other way.

Lurediver, hatchet1, dirtpoor and even mark650 - I applaud all of you and congratulate you for being true hunters and outdoorsmen. In the February 2007 Field and Stream, Bill Harvey (one of the most respected outdoor and hunting writers in the country) wrote a column: "Morons Among Us" in the Sportsman Life section of the magazine. In it he reminds all of us that we should be ethical and not tolerate unethical hunters. Have we forgotten about scouting, woodsmanship and the challenge of hunting - or is it just the killing that matters...? Seeing how we hunters are a minority in our country, it takes just one idiot (like killing a pen-raised pig in an inclosed paddock) to undo thousands of positive things hunters do for our wild outdoors and conservation heritage. If our hunting traditions fade away it will be because we deserve to (and not enough hunters with integrity stood up for what's right), not because of PETA or anyone else. Just my

My angle on this is it comes down to "trophy hunters", shoot the biggest baddest animal in the woods. Don't get me wrong, I hunt, I like to hunt & I'll keep hunting, but if I'm going to hunt "big game" I'm going gunning for something that might be good to eat. Regardless if thew pics are doctored or not, thats a monster pig & probably not very good eating. As far as mounting that pig, which oviously didn't happen or there would be other pics, that thing is to dang ugly for a nice mount. Just my opinion.
