I noticed the monthly competition here has become very popular. My wife and I found another place to enter daily competitions, in a variety of different contests. The site is free, but you need a Yahoo account. If you're interested, the site is www.flickr.com .

It seems I spend a lot more time on flickr recently than I do here since photography has become a more serious hobby...and I don't have much time to hunt this season since our newborn came.

Sounds like us. We homeschool a 3yr old and 6yr old, and outdoor activity doesn't take priority. The contests are a great way to learn new tricks. Several of the contests my wife enters, include a critique, so she can see what others like and dislike.
