how many megapixels

ok    how  many  megapixels  does  it  take  to  be  equal  to  that   of  35mm  film   or  are  they  not  that  advanced  yet  ?   you  know  the  sharpness  of  the  picture, becouse  i will be  purchusing  a  digital  camera  soon,      i  take  digital   pictures   now  whith  my   pc  camera   and  it  sucks .   ok  sea   ya
