When ever I find a shed I always wonder what the deer was doing at the moment he shed.Was he walking,running,feeding,etc.
Did they just fall off or did he hit something that caused them to drop?There's no way to tell,but you can figure out why he was in that area.
I also like to watch how they lay.There's a 50-50 chance the tines could be facing up or down.I would think better odds that the tines would be facing up.Over the years I think the majority of my sheds have been with the tines facing up.
This year though so far I've found almost as many with the tines facing down.I know they're easier to spot facing up,but we have no say in that.
