Hello I am just about ready to start my first home brew, and will be using a Pelican 1060 case. Is there anyway to lock the case?? with a padlock, so someone couldn't just steal my guts. JUst curious my snapshot sniper has a loop on each half of the box, then i lock it with two small masterlocks.

PLEASE ADVISE

Hopefully this will work, I bought everything at Lowes, 1/2" steel flatbar, 1/4" steel rod and I usually use 4' of small welded link galvanized chain. Custom bent the flatbar (I just bend mine in a bench vise and hammer on the corners to make em sharper) into a square to fit whatever box I happen to have used then weld the ends together, bend the steel rod to overlap it then place them so they wont interfere with the cam functions and weld them in place, weld the chain to the sides and paint. The chain allows you to apply the lock to whatever tightness you want and it will fit any tree as long as it reaches around. Make sure to place the rods so that the cam cannot be slid out of the openings at the ends. On this one I extended the rods to hook over the top of the cam so it wont fall off when its unlocked, live and learn

Really easy and I think as secure as possible without making something that weighs 20 lbs. I've made several for my cams and friends cams and his are store bought cams, Ive been very happy with them so far. Total cost not inc welding about 12 bux.

I use 3 U-bolts, one on each side, and One U-bolt on the front of the camera. Then I get a Python bike lock from Masterlock that will tighten to any width and wrap the whole housing to the tree. Just make sure you don't cover up the lens or PIR with the Python cable

Killett, great job. I do mine much the same way. I hinge a piece of flat bar across the back and let it close like a hasp on the other side where I put the lock. No chance to pry it out the back side that way.

Thank you for the ideas all. If there are any other neat ideas drop a note. I really appreciate all the help.
