Hunters get expert advice on processing deer this weekend on "Kentucky Afield" TV

Frankfort, Kentucky - With early muzzleloader season opening for white-tailed deer this Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21, hunters can also harvest timely tips on venison processing from "Kentucky Afield" television.
In what has become an annual tradition, "Kentucky Afield" is showing its popular deer processing from the field to the freezer show this weekend. Butcher Sim Harp of Scott County joins host Tim Farmer for part one of the two-part series on boning procedures for creating choice cuts of venison roasts, steaks, ribs, chops and more, guaranteed to whet your appetite. An extended play version of this program is also available on the Internet at www.kyafield.com.
"Kentucky Afield" is a production of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. It is the longest continuously running outdoor television show in the nation. "Kentucky Afield" airs Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern /7:30 p.m. Central and is repeated on Sunday at 4 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Central on KET 1.
