I've been on the ranch three times. Each time I was amazed by how plentiful the sign was. Two of the times was after a rain so I know they were recent. Some of the tracks were huge, but the pig I ended up getting was a meat pig of about 200lbs. or so. You can search back and find a picture of it if you search my photos or search the gallery for "pig backpack". I had a great time, saw deer and other wildlife and thoroughly enjoyed my hunt. I booked the hunt with dogs, but I understand he offers other hunts as well as hunts for bison and other animals. The ranch he took me on has had a lot of trophy pigs taken off it. The owner, Chip, showed me a record book that had them listed in it three times on a specific year. If that's the ranch, you'll enjoy it, but you better be in shape. Some of the walking is tough. If you are in shape, I would recommend it. I think he told me the ranch is west of Fresno and north of Colinga near Hollister, but on my GPS, when I was there it looked like it was closer to King City than anywhere else.

Hurley's number is 661-587-5663. Jeff from Hurleys posts were pulled since he is not a sponsor here so he is not allowed to solicit here.

I think he specifically didn't post prices or anything for that reason. He was just trying to answer questions, not solicit.

boarhunter67, our rules for advertising here are really simple and easy to understand and it's also not up to you when and how to enforce them.

I talked to Jeff by phone and we both hung up happy.

The spamming/soliciting rules also cover people slyly emailing members from the board here to solicit them. I suggest you stop boarhunter67.

Spectr,
I re-read through all the posting rules so as not to upset you or anyone else. I wasn't trying to enforce any rules, just to clarify a point. I've seen many times where people who aren't sponsors will post someone's phone number and describe their operation. I thought as long as prices weren't mentioned, it would be okay because that's what it's seemed like in the past. It wasn't as if someone came on here and said he had a heck of a deal on some hunt and to give him a call or email him. As I recall, someone asked about him and he got on and answered some questions and said to call if all the questions weren't answered so that he wouldn't be violating any rules.
As to me slyly soliciting someone by sending secret emails... The only thing I can think you might be referring to is someone specifically posted a request asking who does European mounts. I didn't want to post anything on the forum since that would be soliciting, so I sent an email stating that I am in Bakersfield if he is nearby, I can do it. If he is not near, then he should make sure that whoever does it does X, Y, and Z. I gave him advice on how to find a good person and mentioned that I did them too.

You need to re-read the rules boarhunter67. Pointing the finger at others just shows you don't understand the rules. You CANNOT solicit here if you own or work for a business. That means by posting in the forum or doing it via email.

You CAN post links and info if you are a hunter who uses a guide or service. Big difference. Again, the rules on soliciting here ARE NOT open to your interpretation, so please stop telling people what they can do and not do here. They can contact us and we can let them know how to become a sponsor or what is allowed.

As far as you solicitng members my email, that's been made perfectly clear. You only get one warning.
