I am looking for a digital camera

I'm looking to get myself a digital camera for Christmas. I don't were to start researching for one. I am looking for something I can take hunting and stuff like that. I am not a professional photographer nor do I want to be one. What’s the ave. price for a digital camera? I am looking for the equivalent of a Beretta's in a digital camera. Good quality decent price.

Were do you guys shop for digital cameras and accesories?

Checkout the Helful Camera Links topic at the top of this forum. Then go to a good camera shop and talk to the people that work there. It depends on what you want to do with your pictures too. The higher megapixels you get the larger prints you can make. If you're wanting to just save pics on a website a low megapixel would be fine. Of course the higher the megapixel the more expensive the camera gets.

I bought a Cannon Powershot S40, It's a 4 megapixel, there is a S30 which is a 3 megapixel for a 100 dollars less, It's just as good. click below for more info.
