how is that even possible? they get an elk tag and a deer tag year after year. just got the word..they drew again this year.

I believe in New Mexico you can pay a guide a fee that greatly increases your odds of being drawn.

You can do that, or just put in for the easy to draw non-trophy units (most of the state).

They fill put tags for quality areas unguided. Just like I do.

"Quality (Q)"= non-trophy unit, "High Demand (HD)"= Trophy unit. Still, they've got some luck. That's what's nice about NM. With a little luck you can draw a lot and not have to play the points game.
