I have until the 22nd of this month to claim this hunt that I won, if anyone wants to go with me, you get a $100 off the hunt price, which starts at $499, which is 3 days two nights. I am open to a date with very little preferences, but the trip expires Dec. 31 2012. I know that I will be driving, and would be willing to split the negligible fuel costs, as I have a company car with company gas. Let me know if you are interested, I will probably do it sometime next year.

I might be up for that. Do they have a website I could look at?

Nick, Wild Hog Hunt in TX that gives away the hunts is not one of our sponsors, they advertise through the the Google ads on here. You may want to do a search on them here, some of those who won the hunts had some negatives to say about the hunt. Also the hunt is not free when you add in the $75 booking fee, skinning fee, other fees etc. That is deceptive advertising in my opinion. A free hunt should be FREE, no padded in charges or gotchas to make their money back.

Do your homework before driving all the way out to TX.

I won about 5 free hunts from that guy.......Never have I claim any of them. The thing is, he claim it's a free hunt, but the hunter have to pay for lodging, skinning fee, an other fees I forgot what they are. The thing is the skinning fee is a must. He will not let you skin your own hog. I think in the email he sent you about the free hunt, it explains all the fees. When you add up all the fees, it comes out to the same cost as hunts offer by other outfitters and you get the lodging and skinning works included in the hunt fees. So I would recommend you go back to re-read the email and do a little calculating and compare the price to other hunts in TX. You do a google search on "wildhoghunt +Paul review" and do a little reading for yourself.

Good luck,

Since they offer buy one, get one free and the price for the one is 499, if the second person pays 399, one other person is going for 100 plus the extras mentioned above (gut/skinning fee etc). Hummm... And you have to travel to Tx. Am I missing something here.

Hey thanks guys for your input, I am pretty good about spotting scams, which I am not certain this is, as much as just a possible bad deal. Yes, I was a bit miffed by the fact that my free was not as free should be. I am not sure what I will do, as far as going or not, but definitely don't want to pull anyone in with me, and have it be a bust.
