What state did you get your Roosevelt in? Did you have a good time using horses to get in?

Each tag type (A or B) gives you more of different types of opportunity. A tag season are more geared towards archery, muzzleload and B tags are more geared towards rifle bull. But, an A tag can have rifle bull season and visa versa.....so, you got to sift through it all to figure out what you want.

A lot of the high demand non-resident General tags (not controlled hunts) are sold out already:
ZONE ELK TAGS QUOTA # OF TAGS AVAILABLE
Zone Elk A & B Tag 10,415 6,770
These tag allotments are taken out of the "Zone Elk A & B" quota and are not additional.
ELK TAGS QUOTA # OF TAGS AVAILABLE
Lolo B 356 Sold Out
Selway B 336 Sold Out
Middle Fork A 174 Sold Out
Middle Fork B 267 Sold Out
Dworshak B 215 Sold Out
Elk City B 302 Sold Out

You'll have to take the time to digest the info in the regs 'cause there's no way to sum it all up in a sentence or two. I've only hunted deer up there so I don't know a whole lot about Idaho elk.
