Fellows, the pic to the left is the first boar that rushed TWM & me on an earlier hunt, plain scary-380 lbs- about. Next, the pic to the right: the kid to my right is TWM's son and that's the pig that TWM nailed from 150+ yards; the pig in front of me is the pig that rushed us-intense! 180 lbs- about. Let me know if I need to do something to the photos to make them more appreciable.

How far did you have to drag to get to the truck? I'm a noob (just got my license and tag this month), please share your debrief regarding getting surprised with the charge! All info is important to me. Hints like always have your gun in front of you, carry a sidearm and which terrain is danger town. Also, when hunting with a partner, one tag filled and faced with a self-preservation situation like you did, you both shoot, correct? Thanks for the story and pics.

Fellows, to answer your ?s... Mike1781 not Tejon. WMHandy, after TWM nailed his pig we followed the rest of the group up canyon so i may have an opportunity and it took quite a while too; we didn't have any particular formation, terrain and vegetation dictated that, we just covered one another and no sidearms either. I find anytime entering pig tunnels regardless of the lay of the ground or type of vegetation to be a high alert situation and i wouldn't want to get in the habit of entering "their turf" just for kicks. And Gdog, if you're referring to the lone pig pic all that turned up duff layer is from me & TWM jockeying the pig around for a photo op. Thanks all for the interest and happy trails to you.
