Went scouting around the Hi-Line off Montgomery Rd. this afternoon and the birds are there clear down to Albright Rd.Stopped at a buddy's house and he's looking forward to a good hunt in that area.
The bad news is the wind is blowing from south southeast at about 35 mph with gusts up to 45 and has since about 9:00pm. It looks bad so I'll check it out tomorrow afternoon.I sure hope this doesn't effect the birds but we'll soon see.

The southerly winds don't seem to affect the birds.  Unless the wind brings enough moisture to cause t-storms.  Actually, a breeze is great for slowing down the dove when they flare and turn.  Then they drop when you pop 'em.

I hope it isn't going to rain, it's raining here in OC.  I'm happy for the rain, but it's bad timing!!!

Just checked the weather site (WX) and a cell is moving NNW toward Yuma.  'Tis the season.

Always about a week or 2 before the the dove season starts there is always a t-storm around Blythe. I wish they would move up the season.
