Things to be on the lookout for this XMAS that may save you some $$ later on:

1. Little bags of dessicant ("do not eat&quot for inside your cam enclosures. These will absorb moisture and can be found in a lot of the electronic gadget packages.
2. Closed Cell foam
3. Shoe boxes to hold your pics  (Bet you didn't think of this one!)

Of course don't forget to ask from Santa:
1. Canon Sure Shot Owl PF w/date
2. New Solder Pen
3. Lots of 35mm film
4. Bungie cords
5. Camo Spray Paint (Olive, Brown, Tan)
6. Digital Multi-Meter
7. One of those Programmers that JoeD and Brian have to program your own timer chips.

IF your feeling really lucky and your on real good terms with SANTA:
A complete Darkroom with all the accessories so you can develop your own pics!

Lastly, since the season is about giving:

Speaking of the little bags of dessicant, I Found a
source of them from where I work. The only difference
is these are grown up bags. They come in the buckets
of carbide that we get for coating saw blades and they
are about 2/3-3/4 the size of a cigarette pack.
They could probably suck up a cup of water.  No moisture
problems here. :)

This is a dumb question, but how does dessicant work? After it absorbes moisture, where does the moisture go?                    Fubar

Fubar, the stuff I have is pretty much like speedy-
dri or kitty litter. It just soaks up any moisture or condensation. I'm not sure how to tell if it's used up or not. Just to be on the safe side, all you have to do is dry it out in the oven overnight.

Fubar.. It probably goes to "that place". You know "that place" i'm talking about..  Every one has "that place"... It currently harbors several of my missing gloves, socks, grunt calls, pocket knives.....

Anyway, Something else to keep in mind is a lot of places have after Xmas sales and you may be able to get cams cheep..

Griz, look under your tree for something specal from Santa. If he did not leave it there I think I have it...
