deershed, IowaShedHunter, or anyone else who frequents iowadeer.com.

Before the page was redone, there was a picture of two guys holding a board with three sets of sheds from a great non-typical. If I remember right, the sheds were held on there with zip ties. I was looking for the pic to show someone a way of mounting sheds without drilling or defacing them, but can't seem to find it anymore. Anyone able to help?

Thanks,

It may be you're just not looking far enough back or it's so far back it's not archived or something like that. It was a long time ago that that was posted...almost like this time last year. Was that the Albia buck?

No, I don't think it was the Albia buck, I am spacing where specifically it was from. After iowadeer redid the page, they didn't, or haven't yet brought back all of the archived posts. The picture was a neat example of mounting sheds w/out doing damage, and still showing the shed pedicles.

I think I have the photos. They were found by a couple of friends and the deer was killed last year. From what I hear the DNR took the rack and it now resides at a county or state park in the visitors building. I'll look for the photos and post them if I find them. He scored around 240 when killed, but his largest set of sheds were close to 260. A super animal.
