Was trying a Variation of Martys timer w/ a Polaroid 2400ff, and the camera acts as if the leads are conected togeather and shoots each time the flash cap. charges. Any quips of wisdom???? Even does it without power to the timer. Quess there has to be some kind of short I can't find, or could a cooked transistor let this happen?

Has this particular timer board that your using ever worked? I had several of Marty's timers before (still do) but had to pull them cause battery drain was a bit too high for me. I had a problem similar to yours once and found a polarized capacitor i had put in backwards. Flipped it around and bingo it worked after that.  Good luck.

No, I'm building it. I made one last nite on perf board, but it was a small piece & got so jumbled, I used some printed junk I had today. Everything looks right, but I'll flip the cap & try again. What kind of board do you use to build yours on, and how long did the batteries last?

Thanks

Butch

Well, its not the cap.. Guess its time to rip it apart and try again. Damn.
