Javelina Rifle

Hi - my 11 yo is getting interested in hunting (most anything), and we'd like to try javelina.

Is .30 M1 Carbine good enuff for javelina?

Sure, load the suckers up with 110gr plinkers in a 5 round magazine and do it if the regs allow. A lever gun in 25-20, 32-20, or .38spcl/.357magnum would be a lot of fun, too. The daughter of a feller on another board used to hunt them with a .22magnum rifle. Have fun. RKBA!

You bet! I use a 22-250 or my Contender in .223. Javelina are not large and they are not hard to kill. He will really enjoy it!
