JHO 2004 Best Elk Pic Contest

Since some states don't allow big bull contests so we'll have a best elk pic contest.

The rules are simple.

It must be your elk or a family member's elk.
Absolutely no pics with ads on them are allowed
Any elk taken in fall of 2004 is eligible, bow, rifle, smokepole etc.
The pic can be of the elk or of you and the elk.
There is no limit on the number of pics you can enter.
Contest will end Dec. 31st 2004 and then all the members will vote for the winner.

Prizes so far are $25 gift certificate to JHO store.

Here's a nice 6x6 I killed in northrn NM with my "homemade" 35 Whelen. Absolutely the most difficult, yet gratifying and enjoyable hunt I've ever been on. Hard, hard work; no guide, no roads, no 4 Wheelers, no bugles or cow calls. And, pardon the "grim" look, I was pretty worn out by this time!!.

I'm withdrawing my roosevelt elk photos from contention in the elk photo contest. I screwed up and submitted the wrong photos. That bull was killed in 03' not 04'. Reading the rules again, I did notitice the specifics of the date requirements.

Sorry about that. I don't know if I can actually remove the post itself. I will give it a shot.
