JHO April Photo Contest, Signs of Spring

Congrats to gil850 for winning March's contest. For this month, he has chosen the topic of Signs of Spring. Plants, flowers, newborns, anything in that indicates spring time is here.

Signs of spring to me are many. One of the signs is new birth. Since about day one I have photographed a journal of this Morning Dove. This bird knows who I am ( she has gotten fat off my feed LOL ) so photographing her in her nest was not all that hard. I've never been closer than 20 feet so there is no harm to the babies.

The first time I knew of of the eggs had hatched. I don't know yet how many she laid.

Now I know she had two. It was several days before she allowed me to see both of them.

Can't believe how quickly they develop. I think less than a week and they will be flying.
