I know it's late but lets get a clear the freezer campout going. Bring all your fine game meat and fish for a hoedown.

LAke Hemet in the mtns above San Jacinto is one good spot to beat the summer heat. http://www.lakehemet.org/rec/rec.htm
Good trout, catfish and bass fishing. Boats are $50 a day.

San Gorgonio campground below Big BEar has Jenks lake nearby. Good hiking spot too.

Thinking late July or early August.

Any other campgrounds with a lake nearby to fish?

Beach campground? Surf fishing?

What about something in the middle, so the NorCals can make it too, or is this campout only for Dodger lovers

I'm in. The mountains sounds best to me but I really don't care. Sounds like fun. The Jenk's Lake area really does as I can get some scouting in close by also...
