JHO March Photo Contest, Candid People photos

HideandWatch has chosen the topic of Candid People photos for March's photo contest!

The photo can include people at work, people playing sports, people hunting, people fishing, it can include kids, it can be a crowd or people, any photo that is candid. (e.g. not posed) Feel free to give some details about your photo and how you photographed it.

This contest will run until Fri, Mar 31, 2006. At the end of this period we will vote and the winner will be awarded prizes from Jesse.

Here are my photos for the month. I took these last Memorial day. My husband, daughter and I were visiting out little cemetary to look at the tulips that grow wild up there. We let our daughter roam freely to see all the flowers. As she roamed, I snapped shots of her. She was fascinated. In the photo of her sitting on the head stone, my husband and I were walking ahead of her and he turned to look at her and saw her sitting on the head stone looking at the flag. He told me to hurry and get a picture of her - this is what I got. It was a pretty special day at the cemetary. Even though it may look it, none of these shots were posed - just my daughter being herself.

Okay, I can't take credit for these since my wife took them but I thought everyone might get a chuckle out of them. A few months ago, we headed up to the hills with a new sled to play in the snow. The snow was more like ice than snow. There was a nice run that someone had built and I figured that it looked like a lot of fun so I gave it a shot. The pictures are what resulted of a fast run with a hard landing. My rear was bruised for a few days afterward.

I don't expect these to be entered into the contest, just thought that they fit the topic.

I would like to share a beach picture I took of my granddaughter last October at Gulf Shores, Al.
