Been gone all weekend... so anyway...

Jagermeister, my understanding is that the cost for this one includes lodging in the cabin and also meals. Barbara has been really busy, so I haven't been able to talk to her directly. I did let her know the date ranges we're considering, so she may already be putting us on the calendar.

Even if the cost didn't include the extras, it's still a pretty decent deal for 2 1/2 days of hunting (all things being relative, of course).

Beastslayer, I don't think it's gonna be a problem filling this hunt. Actually, from the sounds of things, we could potentially fill two hunts. No guns on the archery hunt, but you can bring your new pistol to the JHO POR next May.

Speck - Ok you saw through me... undue advantage and all... Yeah, yeah... gotta return to practice with bow and arrow and see if I can be competent enough to join on this one.

Here ya have it! 2007 Dates announced! February 9-11, 2007 is all ours!

Notice that I have a TENTATIVE second archery-hunt on the Tejon calendar, on the first weekend of June. I have the date reserved, but we have to commit relatively soon to hold that date. It's looking really likely that we'll fill this February hunt, so we can run the overflow into the June hunt... or those who want to can hunt both. I really need some feedback so I can make the call to Barbara to either let those June dates go, or lock them in.

The hunt is for two and a half days in the North, archery-only area. The cost ($400) includes lodging in the farmhouse, all meals(!!!), and a Tejon representative onsite to manage the cooking and also to offer information and tips to the hunters. According to Barbara, the guide will scope out the are pre-hunt, and arrange for us to hunt the most promising areas. It's a pretty awesome deal (in my opinion).

It will be first come - first served... meaning when the apps come out, the first ones paid will be the ones who hunt. No reserved spots or any of that.

I checked and I actually have a commitment for that time. Bummer! I can make the second one in summer and certainly will be there again for the rifle hunt.

I'm in on this one. I'll start saving now. This is a better deal than I had before. Speck, I'll send you an email with my address, or you can email me an app.

Cool, Dave. Just don't send anything yet... please.

There'll be plenty of time when I get the apps. If you send me anything now, odds are really good I'll lose it before I start the registrations.
