Dont know if any of you guys went out there with your kids.Really slow, but its a lot of fun watching my 12 year old learning the frustrating art of duck hunting.
Things he learned ,
Blind 40 is way to far to walk.
Birds dont just get up and start flying into your dekes.
If your looking over to your right, they'll come from the left.
He gave into the force and dumped a spoonie.
Its pretty cool watching you kid stop pick out the drake ,miss ,pump another round in and dump it clean.Dad might be taking lessons from jr soon.
Things Dad learned ,
Blind 40 is way to far to walk.
Time is flying by ,kids growing up.(hopefully will be able to slum on his rezzie).
Blind 40 is way to far.
Appreciate DFG and FWS for putting on the hunts each year.

Steve,

I took my son and a buddy of his to blind 9.  Painfully slow for a Jr. hunter.  We were soaked and called it quits at 9:00 am.  From where we were at it sounded like the only shootin was coming from the south end of the refuge.
Hats off to all those that organize the hunt and a big thanks those individuals that donate their time to pull this together.
