Just got back from a five day vacation\hunt in Crockett,Texas. The weat5her was nice had just rained a couple days prior and that really made the difference. The owner has cotton fields and the hoge were rampant through there. We totaled six hogs over the four days. I got four hogs in one day and even managed to down two hogs with onhe shot. My trusty Winchester 1300 with Remington Buck Hammers did the job nicely this time. It's always a fun trip down there and this trip was much better than the last one. I have alot of information in anyone in interested where we wnet and the ranch we used. Thanks for reading and happy hunting.

Learned a couple new things this time out. The hogs would stay in the cotton throughout the day. Seems that if the crop and weeds were high and the ground was moist the would just sit out there in the rows instead of heading back into the woods. We were able to key on a couple areas after hearing them and do a push. The bad thing is that:although we could get them to move it was very difficult to get off a shot due to the thickness of the weeds. Very fun none the less and kept the hunt from becoming stagnant.

Glad you had a chance to come down here and get rid of some of those rodents for us.:bounce-aqua: They're tearing up a buddy of mines feeders in East Texas. Hope you enjoyed Crockett. My in-laws live there. Nice little town.
