Just bought a Minolta Dimage Z6

So I ended up buying a new camera, the Minolta Dimage Z6..............who knows if it was a good buy or not ?

These were my parameters............. wanted 6.0 Megapixels, wanted agood Optical zoom 12x, has anti-shake & standard SD Card.

I compared it to the Sony & Cannon..................both of them were $500 ........... this Minolta had all the same bells & whistles & was $400

My last Digital camera was stolen

, so needed another for everyday use & website photo's.

Well, it probably was a great buy, partly due to the fact that konica/minolta is closing its doors.. Sony is going to pick up their products and business. That doesnt really effect you unless you need to get it repaired or buy some proprietary items such as an external flash. (if you need a flash or proprietary battery etc, buy them now)

But the minolta digitals have been performing really good. sad to see them close thier doors, but I think they got in the digital game a little late, and it was probably difficult to establish market share by the time they did enter.
