hi all,
i just finished cleaning my skull.
i was using burrying method for about 3months. i dug , rinse, brush, and spraying with high pressure water to clean all the left over flesh. and then i submerge the skull in the clorox for one day. after arranging the teeth and putting back with the super glue, i sprayed them with the clear coat paint to make it easier for the cleaning.
after that..................
VOILA......... i think its not bad for a firsttimer such me....

when i dug it up, it was smelly, but i think its not bad for a rotten flesh. at the end, it still has some smell, i dont know if i did not cleaned it well or its just the smell from the bone. does anyone know how to make the smell dissapear? do i need to dry it in the sun?

I left a head out in a wash for 1 year, came back the next year and it was bleached out almost perfect and didn't stink. Just the bulb of the nose was left on it. Amazing what ants can do..

Looks good. Next time don't soak it in clorox. Use peroxide it will whiten it and not dry out the skull. but before you do that if the skull is really greasy soak it in a 50/50 soluton of DAWN. and then peroxide it. Bleack tends to dry out the bone and make it flakey.
