Hi guys

I just bought a S&W M&P15 yesterday and will be picking it up end of this month.

I bought the flat top model and alroeady bought a Aimpoint M2, hogue grip, veltor stock, magpul 30rd. pmags, tango down front grip. I'm either considering a VLTOR front rail or a omega rail. I would like to get rid of the front fixed sight and replace with flip up from troy industries.

What kind of set ups do every one else have?

Anyone else here have the smitty AR?

Thanks

I've got a 20" Bushy A2, and I am waiting on a Remington R-15 (Bushy Predator essentially). I ordered it in May, but the dang rifle is on back order. I have no idea how long the wait will be. It already feels like forever.

Let us know how your M&P 15 is. I have never gotten to look one of those over.

I researched DPMS, RRA, BUSHMASTER, and the S&W for about 3 months because the department I work for is trying to acquire patrol rifles. I shot all four and my top pick would be the RRA and S&W but since all the San Diego gun stores are so reluctant on selling a AR and almost near impossible to get a RRA. So I did a comparison shoot with the RRA and S&W and noticed that the S&W was easier to shoot zero malfunction and good customer service from S&W.

I will let you all know how it shoots at the end of the month.

Well after lapping the barrel, put about 200 rounds through. I had one malfunction and it was due to a bad mag. Other than that it was a dream to shoot. I been waiting to own a AR15 since I was a teenager. Money well spent and great quality. My ar is equipped with a aim point comp M (old model), magpul MIAD grip, gg&g single point sling adaptor, and a daniels defense omega rail with a tango down vertical grip (both not attached). Shooting winchester 223 put out a 3/4in group at 100 yards using a nikon manarch scope. The rifle is extremely light and easy to handle when on the move and the iron sights from the factory was dead on so no adjustment required.

I really really love this gun but I think I'm going to buy a RRA later on (just love that two stage trigger).

I would recomend this rifle to some one looking for a decently priced, accurate out of the box AR.
