My buddy got drawn for this hunt (only 10 tags available). He has never hunted elk before but he is in excellent shape and shouldn't have any trouble in steep terrain. He also will have two Sherpas to help him in case he gets anything. The land he is hunting on is private and access is not allowed until opening day ( Sept. 7).He was asking if anyone here has drawn this tag and what he might expect as far as terrain goes ,which area to concentrate on, and if the bulls would be bugling around the second week of September.
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

If that is the same hunt I am thinking of, a member of my RMEF chapter won that hunt on a raffle draw last year. They pretty much directed him where to hunt and where the animals were. He ended up taking a little 4 or 5 point. PM me your buddies email and I will forward it to my friend. He is a super nice guy and I am sure would be happy to tell him all he knows.
