Well after hunting with my Luepold Wind River Spotting Scope for 2 years and getting the chance to look through almost every brand of spotting scope made during all types of hunting conditions. I found my Wind River to be very disapointing compared to the big guys like swarvoski, zeiss,etc. But I knew I couldn't afford that high priced clarity either.
Then I stood behind a Kowa. This scope was so clear at all powers, among the best I've ever looked through. I was very surprised to hear that he had only spent maybe a hundred dollars more than I did for my wind river.
Well needless to say I sold my Wind River and got a Kowa. I chose the Ts-612 Straight Spotter. This is there lower priced scope. They have many different models including Ts-614 with the ED glass, Which was chosen by betterviewdesired.com among best spotting scopes.
I would recommend this spotting scope or any Kowa product for someone who wants the preformance of a $1000.00-$1500.00 quality optic for less than half that price.
