I'm finally going to get my own Kowa spotter. Now I just need to decide which objective and eyepiece. I'm pretty much set on the 82mm even though it adds more weight and length. I see Kowa now sells an adapter to hook up a digital camera for digiscoping. Kewl.
I've used the 66mm before and I'm wondering if the 82mm is too big and heavy.
From using spotters I know that past 40x is pretty useless from the heat mirage and tripod movement. I would like to use the longer range to shoot camera pics but I'm not sure if this will turn out any good.
