I would recommend going to the Eagle Peak area for pigs. Laguna has deer but no pigs as of yet.

Hunt the Sweet Water Spring parcel. Better luck if you can hike to the backside where it border private land fence and the terrains is more open with studded oak trees. You must hike in the dark and be there before morning light to catch them passing through public lands. I've personally killed several pigs almost every week out of there back in the old days when not too many people have discovered the area and the pig tags still came in 5 per booklet. Good luck!!

When you mean the backside do you mean the mountains to the right(looking at laguna)? or down below to the left. orrr the other side of laguna?

Think we might head up tomorrow morning unsure. I bet all the pigs are hanging out in clear creek now since its been closed for a while.

My father went today to check out some blm we have not seen, panoche hills and tumey i believe. I did a quick search on here and mostly negative feedback, told him not to go! but guess he had to see for himself :lol bashing sign:

Laguna has pigs during the rainy season. Ive ran the dogs in there during the winter months and its been pretty productive. (had a race almost every time). I couldnt Imagine hunting in there with just a rifle. Too brushy. Conden peak is pretty good during the winter months. Its not far away.

Sorry if I'm wrong but it seems like some of you guys are talking about Laguna Mountain in San Diego county and some of you are talking about the Laguna Mountain in central California near Coalinga.
No pigs on the San Diego mountain yet, good luck up north! I've seen good sign up there before but never any pigs.

I scouted that area last year with goods maps and GPS...and the fences have magically "moved", in favor of the surrounding land owners. The oak meadows are now behind fences right up to thick brush and its nearly impossible to get thru the brush much less hunt except for the big hilly meadow in the center, south of sweetwater rectangle of private land

I'll be honest, when I first heard of Laguna mountian I also thought it was in san diego. Although 90% call is laguna mountian in SD it is really called Mount Laguna. May be wrong but according to all the maps I've seen in SD its Mount Laguna and in Nor Cal it is called Laguna Mountain.
