Went up to my place in Lake County yesterday to hunt pigs after getting shut out during deer season. Of course I see three legal bucks in no time at all, including a big 4x4 at 75 yards broadside, just looking at me and smirking! Around 5 I started to hear pigs grunting in an area of cover up the valley. Headed up there too see a small herd heading out to forage for acorns. Got set up and waited as they worked downslope - took out the lead sow then missed a couple follow ups on a boar that was trailing her as he ran away. Nice pig, 140 lbs. Gave her to a family in the area that can use the meat.
