Went up to my place yesterday afternoon. Tons of rooting all around so I figured there was a herd nearby. Right around sunset I was on top of a ridge and heard some grunting across the valley so I headed down and then up the other side, just in time to see a herd of 40+ sows and piglets drop down into the valley near a small lake (and where I park!). Dropped down to them being careful not to be spotted though the wind was at my back. Light was fading fast when a nice big mostly white sow turned broadside to me no more than 40 yards away, put a -06 thru her boiler room. Quartered her out and spent this morning cutting her up, will be making a bunch of sausage sooner or later.
