Saturday morning, about 200 yards from the campground. There were a bunch of them!
It only showed its face, so that's what I took a shot at. It ran 50 yards and bled out.

Face shot and it still ran 50yds, damn things are tough!

Edit: Nice pics and thanks for sharing! Hope you have more success on future hunts!

sorry just cant believe someone would willing take a face shot with a bow. Dead animal or not you owe it to the animal for a high percentage shot or nothing

Great, it is good you did not miss the opportunity and took this shot, better miss the head than to make gut shot.
For one who practice regularly a target of a pig head size at 50 yard is noting.
Congratulations and keep on great job!

Thank you!
No one ever seems to get the "campground hogs" that tear the place up.
Congradulations.

I've shot my last 3 pigs in the head with a bow. Drops them dead, 2 were over 50 yards. The head is nearly as big as the lungs I dont see why it's not a recommended shot. Somebody will say you can shoot em in jaw and they could die of hunger Sure you can shoot them in the leg when your aiming for the shoulder just as easy.

Congrats on the pig

Where is the ideal spot(s) on the pigs head to aim for if going for a head shot?

Beautiful pig and beautiful shot. I head shot my deer at 32 yards this year since that was all I was given.

Sounds reasonable to me. Thanks. If the opportunity presents itself I will give it a try.
