lake sonoma pig hunting

hello i am new here and i want to do some pig hunting in the sonoma area and i was wondering if anybody could help me out on where to go and where to hunt

weylon, welcome to the forum.

i have hunted lake sonoma several times..it is alway hit/miss. they are all over the place as far as sign. seeing a real life pig is a whole other matter. those critters are hard to find.

welcome to JHO and the hunting forum Waylon, it looks like Lake Sonoma is one of the best bets as far as archery only public land to hunt close to our area.
i plan on hunting Lake Sonoma on Jan. 8 & 10 th. ( thur. & fri.) if weather is permitting for a safe drive there and back, it looks to be about a 2 1/2 to 3 hr. drive from the bay area where i live, i am ready to hit the woods and search for some wild pigs with bow in hand! so if anyone wants to hook up let me know, i always enjoy sharing a hunt with other archers who have a true passion for bow

I've been wanting to get out there with my bow too but the drive is just killing me. I'm from Fresno and it seems like it'll take me over 4 hours just to get there. That's too far. Good luck to all hunters going out there.

Huntingbret, know what you mean. I'm still very new here but I'm excited to hear all the nice success stories. I might have to come back down from OR though in March. Still have my $200 license and tag that needs to be filled.

For sure, actually let me know if you ever decide to go hunt anywhere within 200 miles and on a weekend .
