A friend introduced me to this site-Cool!

So for those who went to lake Sonoma this past weekend, what was your result? My group was unsuccessful. However, we managed to chase a huge porker approx. 300 lbs minimum out of his bedding area. Each balls were approx. the size of man's fist and they were swining left and right as it ran from us. We lost track of the thing after chasing it through some thickets and then it climbed up and over the mountains
<
. The next day, we cased a sow and 2 piglets down a ravine and lost them.

We met a successful hunter and congratulated
<
them. The porker they shot was approx. 150 to 200 lbs. I guest it was not meant to be for us.

Welcome to JHO, TOG!

No pork for you, but at least you were out there giving it a go. Beats sitting on the couch all weekend!

Better luck next time. Now you know where they live.

Good recovery.

We hunted on Friday at the lake. My buddy shot one and we tracked it over hill and dale but lost it to private land. Glorious weather. Other buddy saw one earlier on being chased by 2 coyotes...

Great that you saw some pigs. And good deal that you saw someone that was successful! The last I heard about bowhunter success out there was pretty low.
I'm getting together a couple of friends for a Lake Sonoma Bowhunt. Another buddy can't bow hunt and wants to get out there for shotgun in February.

BF, we were hunting in the no shot gun zone. If you go there, hope to see you and your group in a couple of weeks. Any body else have a successful hunting trip at lake sonoma?
