Have either of you guys gone by boat, or just walked from the closest place? In other words do you think a boat for access would make any difference in success rate?

I think going by boat gives you more options but my kills last year where by walking in from the road. The terrain is steep if you go in from the road you will have to climb back out. Of course depending on how far you go in.

Is this an archery only hunt, or are firearms legal as well? Anyone have a link for some more info?

Thanks-

Never mind, I found the info above.

I went yesterday, 12/21. I all ways go to the Yorty Creek Arm. It was after the rains so I thought it would be better but I didn't see any fresh sign. Busted out a couple of deer.

I don't know about the other areas, you can see the rooting all over the hills so I figure there in there somewhere. Just not at the right place and the right time. I noticed that someone got one on the 20th.

I wish I had more time to scout out other areas or pull a weekend trip.
